Artur Martins promoted to new global Kia brand and marketing role

  • Artur Martins appointed Vice President Global Brand & Marketing at Kia Motors Corporation headquarters in Seoul
  • Has served as Vice President Marketing & Product at Kia Motors Europe since 2014
  • European replacement for Mr Martins to be announced soon


13 June 2019 – Artur Martins has been promoted to the role of Vice President Global Brand & Marketing for Kia Motors Corporation, effective immediately. Mr Martins will oversee the global development and marketing of the Kia brand as the company prepares to expand its line-up of new products, electrified powertrains and innovative driving and safety technologies.

Mr Martins has made a major contribution to the growth of Kia’s brand power in Europe in recent years, having joined Kia Motors Europe as Vice President Marketing & Product in 2014. Mr Martins oversaw development of Kia’s burgeoning product portfolio, and has helped drive the brand to 10 consecutive years of sales growth in Europe – a performance unrivalled by any other car manufacturer over the same period.

Prior to joining Kia, Mr Martins had already built up almost two decades of experience in the global automotive industry, holding positions with Volkswagen, Toyota and FIAT. His new role will be based at Kia’s global headquarters in Seoul, Korea.
