Kia launches #KiaMovingWithYou initiative in Europe

  • Pan-European COVID-19 crisis recovery programme to support customers, communities and dealers
  •  Deferred payments and warranty extensions for customers affected by COVID-19 disruption in several European markets
  • #KiaMovingWithYou brings all Kia activities together to offer peace of mind to customers

Frankfurt, 8 May 2020 – Kia Motors Europe has launched #KiaMovingWithYou, an initiative which aims to help customers and local communities recover from challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the face of unprecedented disruption to daily lives, Kia Motors is supporting communities around the world in the fight against the virus. In Europe, #KiaMovingWithYou brings those initiatives together to offer peace of mind to customers, as well as support for healthcare professionals and health and medical organisations.

Earlier this month, Kia announced the launch of the ‘Kia Promise’ in Europe, a warranty extension program for vehicles sold in most markets. Under the new #KiaMovingWithYou programme, individual Kia Motors subsidiaries across Europe have also launched their own initiatives to support customers and their local communities. These programmes have included supplying fleets of vehicles to support medical and healthcare workers, creating fun stay-at-home activities for customers, and donating funds to healthcare services and charities to help combat the spread of infection.

Carlos Lahoz, Marketing Director at Kia Motors Europe, commented: “These are unprecedented times, and we hope the initiatives included in the #KiaMovingWithYou programme can bring some support to those people and organisations who need it most. We’re all in this together, and we see it as our collective responsibility to contribute to a recovery – however long it takes.”

Kia has also introduced a range of measures to create a safe working environment for employees in Europe, including provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) for dealers. Working with the government guidelines in every European country, Kia is working to ensure the health and safety of its employees throughout this time.
